Totem House attempts to highlight systemic racism in Arkansas and beyond. The housing 1:1 prototype is a sculptural installation of the bones of a housing unit proposed to be developed as low-income housing in the surrounding area. The subtractive CNC milled lettering on each surface details the expulsion of multiple marginalized groups starting with the settlement of Arkansas.
F01 Each surface of the house marks the negation of persons though Arkansas history as the architecture seeks to provide materially and economically efficient new possibilities for housing access in the area.
